Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information VidSwitcher collects, why, and the choices you have. VidSwitcher is operated by 15920531 Canada Inc. ("we", "us"), an Ontario, Canada corporation. We handle personal information in line with Canada's PIPEDA, and, where applicable, the EU/UK GDPR and the California CCPA/CPRA.

1. What we collect

Insider list & trial requests. The email address you give us, and your express consent to be contacted.
Purchases. Handled by Paddle, our payment processor and Merchant of Record. Paddle collects your billing and payment details under its own privacy policy; we receive order and licence records, not your full card number.
Licensing. To activate and manage your licence key we process a machine fingerprint and activation records through our licensing provider, Keygen.
Website analytics. We use privacy-first, cookieless analytics that record aggregate visit data only. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies on this site.

The VidSwitcher desktop application runs offline. Your show files never leave your machine, and we do not collect the content you load into the app.

2. Why we use it

To send you the trial key and product updates you asked for, to fulfil and support your purchase, to activate and protect licences, and to understand aggregate site usage. We rely on your consent for marketing email and on the performance of our contract with you for purchases and licensing.

3. Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers that make the product work: Paddle (payments & tax), Keygen (licensing), Brevo (email delivery), and Cloudflare (hosting & analytics). We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Some providers process data outside Canada; we rely on appropriate contractual safeguards where required.

4. Email consent & unsubscribe

We only send marketing email with your express opt-in consent, as required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe, and you can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us.

5. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and (where GDPR/CCPA applies) portability or objection to processing. Because we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, there is nothing to opt out of on that basis, and we honour recognised browser privacy signals, including Do Not Track (DNT) and Global Privacy Control (GPC), where they apply. To make a request, email support@vidswitcher.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

6. Children

VidSwitcher is a professional tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we will delete it.

7. Retention

We keep insider-list data until you unsubscribe, and purchase and licensing records for as long as needed to support the product and meet legal and tax obligations. Where we no longer need your information and are not required to keep it, we delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product or the law changes. The current version is always posted here with its effective date, and we will give prominent notice of any material change.
